The EBOCS project has been rated as “excellent” by the European Commission – DG Migration and Home Affairs, with the following comment: “All actions foreseen have been implemented. The EBOCS project has fully reached its objectives and, if further implemented at a pan-European or global level, could give an important contribution to disrupt international crime networks through better detection and prevention of financial, economic and other related crime”.
EBOCS – European Business Ownership and Control Structures has developed proof of concept information services to provide simplified and unified access to BR data on business ownership and control structures. The services are specifically targeted towards public Counter Crime Agencies (CCAs) involved in the fight against financial and economic crime. EBOCS provides real-time information services for financial analysis and investigation purposes thus increasing the level of transparency on legal entities available today.
