The National Registry
The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) is the EBR member for Finland.
PRH maintains the Trade Register. The content of the Trade Register is specified by the Finnish Trade Register Act and Trade Register Decree, the Business Information Act and by legislation concerning specific company types, such as the Companies Act (concerns limited companies). The Trade Register has been maintained since 1896.
There are about about 1 million business entities entered in the Finnish Trade Register, of which 540,000 are live companies. These include Limited Liability Companies, General Partnerships, Limited Partnerships, Sole Traders.
